The Signing Paralegal role at Elevated Estate Planning is crucial for maintaining our commitment to excellence in client service. This position exists to manage the client journey through the document signing process in our Kennewick office. By ensuring that all legal documentation is prepared correctly and that clients understand their estate plans, this role supports our mission to deliver peace of mind to every individual and family we serve. The Signing Paralegal will have a direct impact on client satisfaction and the overall efficiency of our legal processes.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Client Management: Guide clients through the signing process post-consultation, acting as their main point of contact.
- →Document Preparation: Review estate planning documents for accuracy and completeness at least two weeks before the signing appointment.
- →Appointment Coordination: Conduct approximately four signing appointments per day, ensuring adherence to schedule while maintaining thoroughness.
- →Quality Assurance: Identify and flag spelling, formatting, and other document inconsistencies before attorney final review, helping ensure documents are accurate and ready for signing.
- →Communication: Provide clear explanations of documents to clients, addressing questions and escalating legal issues to the attorney as needed.
- →Office Collaboration: Work closely with Kennewick's Front Desk Coordinator and visiting attorneys to maintain smooth operations.
- →Travel Support: Occasionally travel to the Yakima office to provide additional support, with mileage reimbursed.
- Relevant Experience: Previous paralegal or legal experience is preferred, with estate planning experience considered a strong plus. We are also open to experienced legal intake or similar professionals who demonstrate strong transferable skills and are eager to grow into paralegal work.
- Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex legal concepts in understandable terms and adapt to the client's knowledge level.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail in reviewing and preparing legal documents.
- Organizational Skills: Adept at managing multiple client relationships and maintaining a high-volume appointment schedule.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiar with Microsoft Office and capable of adapting to the firm’s in-house CRM and evolving systems.
