Join Critical Mass as an Account Director to lead a pivotal year of website management for a leading automotive brand. This is a hands-on leadership role embedded with the client, where your ability to deliver excellence in execution, maintain trusted relationships, and drive strategic updates will be front and center. If you thrive on collaboration, bring calm leadership under dynamic conditions, and excel at managing stakeholders while driving real work forward, this is your opportunity.
- Manage the live client website as the operational hub, overseeing ongoing maintenance, landing page updates, model year changeovers, vehicle specification changes, and seasonal campaigns
- Incorporate new vehicle launches, sales initiatives, and promotional campaigns into the site with speed and precision; ensure all updates are strategically aligned and properly implemented
- Work on-site at the client office as the senior, visible face of the agency; build trust, facilitate decisions, solve problems collaboratively, and maintain relationship health
- Guide Creative, Development, Project Management, and Marketing teams to deliver all work on brief, on budget, and on schedule; traffic updates, manage QA, and ensure seamless execution
- Shape the roadmap for site evolution during this transition period; identify optimization opportunities and recommend strategic improvements based on performance and client priorities
- Partner with client stakeholders, media partners, and internal teams to ensure all site initiatives drive measurable outcomes and support broader marketing goals
- Work through challenges with clients using consultative, solution-oriented approaches; translate client needs into clear briefs and actionable plans
- Own accountability for timelines, quality, and successful delivery; serve as the point person who ensures nothing falls through the cracks
- 6–8+ years of agency-side account leadership in digital marketing or digital operations; director-level presence with proven ability to step in and lead immediately (senior account managers with site/digital experience ready to grow are welcome to apply)
- Demonstrated success managing live websites, overseeing maintenance workflows, coordinating updates, and balancing ongoing operations with strategic initiatives
- Proven ability to work effectively with Development, Creative, Project Management, and technical teams; comfort coordinating timelines and ensuring smooth execution across disciplines
- Track record of building trust with sophisticated clients in on-site, embedded environments; ability to influence through collaboration, clarity, and consultative problem-solving
- Calm, collaborative leadership style with composer under pressure
- Ability to translate business goals into website strategy, connect campaign initiatives to outcomes, identify opportunities for optimization and growth
- Experience scoping, planning, and executing multiple initiatives simultaneously; comfort with timelines, resource planning, and ensuring quality delivery
- Excellent storytelling and presentation skills, especially with senior stakeholders, with the ability to distill complexity into clear narratives and recommendations
- Agile mindset and are comfortable with an evolving scope and the reality that priorities can shift; you thrive in environments where flexibility and adaptability are valued
- Bonus if you have automotive background
