CrossCountry Consulting is the transformation partner for the Office of the CFO. As a trusted advisor to Fortune 500 companies, emerging growth market leaders, and private equity sponsors, we combine deep domain expertise with the power of data, AI, and technology to modernize workflows, drive human-centered change, and maximize transaction value. Grounded in our Core Values, we are committed to solving today's most complex challenges while delivering a better experience for our clients, our people, and our communities. When you join CrossCountry, you become part of a team that believes in collaboration, generosity, and the drive to help our clients work smarter, build resiliency, and prepare for the future.
Our Risk Advisory practice is growing fast, and we’re looking for a Manager who thrives on variety, a fast-paced environment, and the satisfaction of making a client’s business stronger. This is a role for someone who wants to lead meaningful work, not just manage it: you’ll be a trusted partner to clients, a coach to your team, and a go-to problem solver across the full spectrum of risk.
You’ll bring your first-hand experience, unique perspective, and functional knowledge to deliver tailored, integrated solutions that solve today’s challenges and set the foundation for future success. You won’t do it alone. You’ll have experienced leaders in your corner, a dedicated coach, and a collaborative community that invites you to contribute well beyond client delivery.
No two weeks look the same. You’ll work across three risk domains:
- Financial and Compliance Risk: SOX and FDICIA compliance, regulatory reporting
- Strategic and Operational Risk: privacy, data governance, third party risk
- Enterprise-Wide Risk: Internal Audit, enterprise risk management programs, and risk transformation
- Manage the operational side of ongoing projects, including engagement planning, budget development, progress tracking, and quality review of deliverables
- Lead audit, risk assessment, control testing, and risk management projects, including fieldwork, control testing, and preparation of work papers that meet or exceed client expectations
- Conduct walkthroughs with management and document processes through narratives, flowcharts, and risk control matrices.
- Evaluate, design, and test internal controls, and recommend practical remediation for identified risk and control gaps
- Build and maintain client relationships, serving as the main point of contact between the client and the project team and developing a working understanding of the client’s business
- Coach and mentor team members through regular feedback and annual performance reviews, and support project teams in resolving complex issues
- Contribute to developing and implementing firm-approved, AI-enabled solutions for clients, in accordance with company policies on data protection, intellectual property, and professional standards
- Stay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques and collaborate with firm leadership to identify compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and internal processes
- Experience in SOX, internal audit, third party risk, or transformation work, and the ability to learn unfamiliar areas as needed
- Openness to new tools such as AI and automation, and use of firm-approved tools where they add value
- Composure when deadlines tighten or findings become complex, with the ability to make sound decisions
- A commitment to coaching team members and providing honest feedback
- Ownership of engagements and client relationships
- 5+ years of experience in professional services (public accounting, advisory firm, or management consulting firm)
- Strong technical and analytical skills in risk and controls, business processes, and general management consulting
- Experience mentoring and developing junior team members and helping project teams resolve multi-faceted issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical thinking skills
- Comfort with AI: a demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation
- A continuous learning mindset: openness to learning and applying emerging technologies, including AI and automation, in alignment with firm policies and client standards
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- CIA or CPA is preferred
