Application Specialist 2

The Application Specialist 2 is a senior inside technical support role with a primary focus on sanitary and hygienic valve applications. This role is inside / office-based, highly customer-facing, and deeply involved in ERP, quoting, and order accuracy. It does not perform field installation or service work.

Customer & Technical Support

• →Act as a technical specialist for sanitary and hygienic valve applications
• →Support customers with valve selection, troubleshooting, replacements, and application validation
• →Interpret valve specifications, schematics, and technical documentation
• →Perform basic sizing and application validation for standard valve use cases
• →Communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

Orders, Quotes & ERP Accountability

• →Review and support quotes and orders in ERP systems to ensure application accuracy
• →Enter, review, or correct application-related order details
• →Clearly document assumptions, deviations, or non-standard conditions
• →Partner with inside sales to resolve application-related issues

Team & Knowledge Contribution

• →Serve as a technical resource for inside sales and less experienced specialists
• →Identify recurring application issues and support training or documentation

• High school diploma required; Technical Certification or college credits desired; technical/mechanical emphasis. preferred.

• 4-8 years of relevant experience in a comparable application specialist, technical support, valve specialist, or inside technical sales role. Direct experience with sanitary / hygienic valves in the same or a similar industry is strongly preferred. Strong candidates will also have customer-facing technical support experience and comfort working in ERP-based quote and order workflows.
• Equivalent experience to progression from Application Specialist 1 may be considered.
• Experience in the hygienic/sanitary process equipment industry, preferred.

This role is primarily office-based, Monday-Friday, with limited travel. It requires extended computer use, effective communication, and occasional movement within industrial environments. Light physical activity, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds, may be required.
