  • A doctoral degree in Education or a related field at the time of the start date is required.
  • Hold a valid California Teaching Credential or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three years in public-school teaching experience in secondary education, serving students in cross-cultural and cross-lingual settings
  • Single-Subject expertise in STEM, Social Studies, Literacy, Art, Music, Dance, World Language, or PE fields
  • Demonstrated potential for sustained growth and success in research, scholarship, and/or creative activities
  • Record of service (or ability to serve) to department, college, university, and community
  • Demonstration of collegiality and an enthusiastic approach to collaboration
  • Ability to work with community partners, in addition to content area specialists across the university.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching undergraduates from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds, including first-generation students.
