Under general supervision, the Athletics Events and Facilities Lead is responsible for providing direction and operational coordination to two Assistant Event Managers and student event and facility staff.
- Leads the planning, coordination, and execution of all Intercollegiate Athletics (IA) events, including home competitions, special events, postseason tournaments, and external rental events.
- Coordinates all aspects of game-day operations, including security, medical services, ticketing, parking, concessions, marketing, facility setup, and visiting team accommodations.
- Oversees the setup and breakdown of home athletic contests, visiting team practices, and additional athletic activities as needed.
- Collaborates closely with campus partners, Athletics Administration, and key support units to ensure successful event implementation while maintaining compliance with NCAA, Big West Conference, and CSUN policies and regulations.

Requirements
~1 min read- Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Relevant education and/or experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities, may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
- At least two years of experience working in Intercollegiate Athletics including experience supervising, hiring and training full, part time and student employees is preferred.
- Experience in hosting NCAA and Conference Post Season Championships is also a plus.
- Knowledge of National, NCAA, and Conference rules and regulations, as well as best practices, principles, and procedures within athletics administration.
- Knowledge of building and facilities maintenance, safety and security.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and foster a cooperative work environment.
- Ability to evaluate operational procedures and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and event operations.
- Basic knowledge of facility operations, sound equipment, Daktronics, scoreboards, and scorerite tables.
- Possession of or the ability to obtain First Aid, CPR certification.
