California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) is a preeminent center of intellectual and cultural activity in the Inland Empire region of Southern California. Opened in 1965 and set at the foothills of the beautiful San Bernardino mountains, the university serves approximately 19,000 students. CSUSB is a federally recognized minority-serving and Hispanic-serving institution that reflects the dynamic diversity of the region and has the most diverse student population of any university in the Inland Empire: 74 percent of its students are members of underrepresented groups, 80 percent are first-generation, and 56 percent are Pell eligible. California State University, San Bernardino invites applications for part time faculty, clinical instructor positions in the Department of Nursing. Candidates must be able to work well with administration, local hospitals, as well as community agencies. Evidence of BRN approval must be provided at the time of application.

Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff and students across a wide range of disciplines.

 

Requirements

Candidates must be qualified to teach at the undergraduate level in the BSN generic program with clinical expertise in nursing. Candidates must show outstanding teaching experience or potential. California RN license is required for this appointment and clinical skills must be current. The department is seeking candidates to participate in our expanding programs and to apply their expertise in multicultural communities.

  • Applicants with an earned Doctorate in Nursing, or a Master's in Nursing with a Doctorate in a related field are preferred. However, applicants with an earned MSN will be considered.

 

  • Preferred candidates will be expected to meet the requirements of excellence in teaching and service to the university and community.

Evidence of scholarly activity, publication, and innovation is valued. Evidence of exemplary graduate-level teaching and leadership experience at program level is preferred and should be noted in application.

Lecturer A                           (Range 2) - $5,507 – $6,677

Lecturer B                           (Range 3) - $6,221 – $13,224

Lecturer C                           (Range 4) - $6,825 – $14,523

Lecturer D                           (Range 5) - $8,593 – $15,211
