Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation & Counseling Part-time Lecturer Pool - Rehabilitation Counseling

The Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation and Counseling at California State University, San Bernardino is accepting applications for part-time lecturers in the Rehabilitation Counseling Program. The program prepares graduate students to become professional rehabilitation counselors equipped to assist individuals with physical, developmental, cognitive, and psychological disabilities in achieving personal, social, and vocational independence.

We are seeking highly qualified candidates to teach graduate-level rehabilitation counseling courses and/or supervise students in practicum and internship fieldwork experiences. The successful candidate is expected to prepare and deliver instruction aligned with program, professional, and CACREP accreditation standards, assess student learning, hold regular office hours, and provide timely feedback on student progress. Courses and supervision assignments are based on program needs and the candidate's areas of expertise.

Part-time faculty are also expected to participate in program events, meetings, and orientation sessions, as appropriate. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students.

Responsibilities include:

• Teaching graduate-level rehabilitation counseling courses as assigned.
• Supervising students in practicum, internship, and/or fieldwork experiences as assigned.
• Participating in program events, meetings, and student orientation sessions.
• Collaborating with program faculty to maintain alignment among coursework, fieldwork, professional counseling competencies, and accreditation standards. 

• Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling is required.
• CRC (Certified Rehabilitation Counselor) certification is required.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students.

• An earned doctorate in Rehabilitation Counseling, Counselor Education, or a closely related field.
• CRC (Certified Rehabilitation Counselor) certification is required.
• Evidence of successful graduate-level teaching in counseling or a related discipline.
• Experience mentoring or supervising graduate students in rehabilitation counseling fieldwork.
• Familiarity with the Canvas learning management system.
• Evidence of scholarly activity, professional engagement, and/or publication in rehabilitation counseling.
