Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation & Counseling Part-time Lecturer Pool - School Psychology

The Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation and Counseling at California State University, San Bernardino is accepting applications for part-time lecturers in the School Psychology program. The School Psychology program is an Ed.S. degree program that provides professional preparation for the Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPS) with Specialization in School Psychology, as granted by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). The program is also designed to meet the national accreditation standards of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).

The School Psychology program emphasizes data-based decision-making within an ecological framework to promote positive outcomes for school-aged youth, their families, and school personnel. We are seeking candidates with a background in school psychology or a closely related discipline, with knowledge and experience providing evidence-based services in Pre-K-12 settings. The successful candidate is expected to teach one or more graduate-level courses in the School Psychology program, prepare and deliver instruction aligned with CTC standards, grade assignments, hold regular office hours, and provide input on student progress to the program coordinator. Courses are assigned based on program needs and the candidate's areas of expertise. Teaching responsibilities may include graduate coursework as well as practicum and internship supervision courses. Candidates may also participate in program-related meetings and activities. Candidates with current or recent experience providing school psychological services in PreK-12 settings are especially encouraged to apply. We welcome applicants with expertise in areas such as assessment, consultation, counseling, academic and behavioral intervention, multi-tiered systems of support, and culturally responsive practice.

Responsibilities include:

• Teaching graduate courses, including practicum and internship supervision courses, as assigned
• Supporting program efforts related to accreditation, assessment, and continuous improvement
• Collaborating with program faculty to maintain alignment between coursework and professional standards

• Master's, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related discipline
• Demonstrated record of or potential for excellence in teaching at the college level
• Knowledge and experience using evidence-based practices to support positive outcomes with Pre-K–12 youth, their families, and school personnel
• Possession of, or eligibility for, the California Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Psychology

• A doctoral degree from a NASP and/or APA-accredited School Psychology program or a closely related discipline
• Experience teaching graduate-level courses and/or mentoring or supervising graduate students in school psychology or related disciplines, including practicum and internship supervision

• A minimum of three years of professional experience in school psychology or related school-based settings
• Expertise in one or more areas of school psychological practice, including assessment, consultation, counseling, academic or behavioral intervention, multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), and culturally responsive practice
• Experience working effectively with culturally, linguistically, and socioeconomically diverse students, families, schools, and communities
• Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential or eligibility
• Eligibility for psychologist licensure
