The Student Assistant will provide day-to-day office assistance and coordinate the planning and implementation of Financial Aid & Financial Literacy events. This individual must be solution driven and detail-oriented to keep up with the needs of the department.
Responsibilities

-Serve as a point of contact for the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.
-Communicate with guests via verbal, written and electronic correspondence (i.e. answering phones, sending emails, assisting students with general questions via front counter).
-Assist with clerical functions for the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships (i.e. file paperwork, maintain an organized working environment, make deliveries around campus, pass out flyers, phones, scanning, maintaining FERPA standards etc.).
-Assist with Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, outreach, and other events. Typical events include, but not limited to, job fairs, tabling, and other Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships events. Advance notice will be provided.
- Social Media Content Creation.
- Other clerical duties as assigned.
-This position reports to the San Bernardino Campus.
Requirements
~1 min read- Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
- Special Qualification: Admission or registration as a CSU student.
- Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative.
- Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate)
- International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate)
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Payroll Requirement: Social Security Card
- A commitment to serving students
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Customer Service skills preferred
- No job experience required, as this is a student position
- Training will be provided as needed.
- Finance, Accounting, or another related field preferred
What We Offer
~1 min readStudent Employment Anticipated Hiring Range: $16.90 per hour.
The compensation offered will consider internal equity and experience among other factors.
