  • Job Description/Duties
  • 
    
    Duties include but are not limited to:
    • Prepare and deliver educational workshops focused on housing and financial security to Stan State students in a virtual and/or face-to-face format using approval curricula.
    • Maintain knowledge of local supportive services and resources to assist with referrals.
    • Using a holistic student support approach, utilize interviewing skills to triage student issues and concerns to personalize a support plan.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential student records, including progress notes and support plans.
    • Provide ongoing support to students through regular check-ins, referrals to appropriate resources, and advocacy on their behalf.
    • Assist with front desk operations.
    • Stay informed about current research, best practices, and emerging trends in Student Affairs and housing.
    • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external providers to identify and communicate supportive resources.
    • Provide both community and campus resource information to new and continuing students on an individual or group basis.
    • Assist with programming and awareness through virtual or in-person tabling and outreach events.
    • Knowledgeable of and ability to use independent judgement to refer students to additional campus resources. Refer students to Basic Needs Coordinators or Housing and Financial Security Navigator for additional resources as needed.
    • Attend meetings with Basic Needs team as needed.
    • Provide regular updates to supervisor(s).
    • Other duties as assigned.

  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Excellent customer service and passion to help and support students.
    • Ability to work well in a team or individually.
    • Good judgment when handling sensitive and/or confidential materials.
    • Demonstrates ability to maintain confidentiality, promptness, and attendance.
    • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Demonstrates ability to accurately complete work in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
    • Experience working with community-based organizations facilitating housing support.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Demonstrates dependability and is able to follow through on assignments.
    • Familiar with Canva, Adobe, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Ability to work with a diverse population.
    • Experience working with or awareness of college students who have experienced housing insecurity and/ or financial hardships or emergencies.
    • Demonstrates ability to work evenings.
    • Post-baccalaureate level student with coursework and experiential learning goals focused on program facilitation, systems navigation, and direct individual support/guidance.
    • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, maintained during employment; must be making progress towards degree.
    
    Required Qualifications:
    
    • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
    • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

  • $16.90 per hour.
