Under the direction of the Director of Student Conduct and Ethical Development, the Student Conduct Coordinator (SCC) supports the reliable day-to-day operation of the student conduct system and serves as a student conduct administrator for an assigned caseload of routine and moderately complex matters. The Coordinator applies the CSU Standards for Student Conduct, the current CSU Student Conduct Process Policy (or successor), applicable campus policies, and established office procedures.

The position processes incoming referrals for administrative completeness, establishes case records, and supports case workflow following review and assignment by the Director; administers conduct-related holds under approved criteria; reviews routine outcome submissions for completeness and satisfaction of assigned requirements; responds to general questions about conduct processes and case-management systems; supports authorized records requests; and maintains accurate, timely, and confidential records. These responsibilities require the Coordinator to interpret established requirements, identify exceptions or inconsistencies, communicate procedural expectations, and escalate matters that require higher-level judgment.

The Coordinator also manages cases assigned by the Director from referral through resolution, including information gathering, student meetings, findings, and educational or administrative outcomes within delegated authority. The position is cross-trained to support housing conduct, academic integrity referrals, educational outcomes, outreach, and complex-case preparation when assigned. Complex, high-risk, novel, precedent-setting, contested, or major-outcome matters are promptly returned or escalated to the Director, who may reassign the matter or involve the Assistant Director as appropriate.

Student Conduct Coordinator (Student Services Professional II)

This is a full-time, exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.
