Title: Lead Shop Technician-Video Engineer
Salary Range: $26.00-$29.00/Hour

We're looking for a Lead Shop Technician-Video Engineer who enjoys working with professional broadcast and video equipment, takes pride in technical excellence, and has a passion for making sure every piece of gear is tested, configured, and ready for showtime.

Responsibilities
~1 min readAs part of our warehouse technical team, you'll play a key role in maintaining and preparing our extensive inventory of professional video equipment. You'll be responsible for ensuring everything from cameras to routing systems meets our quality standards before heading to a project.
• Performing quality control inspections and functional testing of professional video and broadcast equipment
• Preparing, configuring, testing, and packaging equipment for upcoming productions and rental orders
• Building and testing Ross Ultrix fly packs and routing systems
• Testing broadcast and cinema camera packages, including cameras, lenses, viewfinders, recorders, and accessories
• Verifying video signal paths, signal routing, conversion, monitoring, and distribution systems
• Troubleshooting equipment issues and identifying root causes before equipment leaves the warehouse
• Performing firmware updates, configuration changes, preventative maintenance, and equipment resets
• Verifying equipment against pull sheets and project requirements to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Maintaining detailed equipment records and quality control documentation
• Working closely with engineering, project management, operations, and warehouse teams
• Supporting equipment staging, inventory audits, transfers, and show preparation activities

• Has exceptional attention to detail and a strong quality-first mindset
• Enjoys both independent work and collaboration within a larger technical team
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and reliability matter
Nice to Have
~1 min read• Ross Video systems, including Ultrix routing systems and fly packs
• Sony, Panasonic, Grass Valley, Blackmagic Design, AJA, Decimator, Canon, Fujinon, and similar manufacturers
• Broadcast workflows, frame rates, video resolutions, reference and synchronization systems
• Rental operations, warehouse workflows, and live event production environments
Requirements
~1 min read• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree in Broadcast Technology, Electronics, Engineering Technology, Audio Visual Technology, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of three years of experience in live events, broadcast, AV, entertainment production, rental operations, or a related technical environment
• Experience testing, configuring, troubleshooting, and preparing professional video equipment
• Ability to regularly lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday
• Ability to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair technical equipment
• Ability to work in warehouse, shop, staging, and event production environments
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime when business needs require
