Job Summary:	Seeking a full-time Laboratory Sciences Research Services Professional to join a research laboratory within the Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine. The successful candidate will contribute to projects exploring the molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in pulmonary vascular remodeling and the response of the lung vasculature to hypoxia and other injuries, utilizing an array of complementary approaches. Key Responsibilities: Breed and maintain rodent colonies, including genotyping and record keeping. Perform animal modeling tasks, tissue harvests, cell isolation, flow cytometry, cell culture, molecular based techniques (DNA/RNA isolation, RT-qPCR), antibody/protein -based technique (immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and imaging). Preparing common solutions and stocks, placing laboratory orders, and contributing to laboratory compliance.
Work Location:	Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Entry Level:

Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field.

Intermediate Level:

Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field.
One (1) year professional level research experience.

Senior Level:

Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field.
Two (2) years professional level research experience.
- A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Master’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field.
Three (3) years of experience in an experimental or wet laboratory.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship. We are unable to provide work visa sponsorship or employment authorization for this position now or in the future.

Advanced knowledge of basic laboratory techniques including safety procedures and techniques.
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:

Entry Level: $47,811 – $64,067
Intermediate Level: $52,030 – $69,720
Senior Level: $56,249 – $75,373

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
