Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical operations of a state-of-the-art Simulation Center, overseeing patient simulators, audiovisual systems, mixed reality technologies, software applications, and networked learning environments.
  • Provide expert technical support and training for faculty, staff, and learners, troubleshooting complex simulation systems and optimizing technology to enhance educational outcomes.
  • Manage simulation technology assets and lifecycle activities, including equipment acquisition, inventory, preventive maintenance, warranties, upgrades, vendor relationships, and repair coordination.
  • Collaborate with educators and stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate innovative simulation experiences, leveraging data, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to advance learning.
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence through system integration, technical documentation, process development, staff mentoring, budget support, and research of new simulation technologies and solutions.
  • Associates degree or technical certification in computer technology (e.g. hardware, networking, helpdesk, etc.)  required.  Bachelor’s preferred.
  • One year of experience required. Five years of work-related experience preferred (ie. computer-technology experience preferably in a healthcare setting, medical simulation experience, equivalent military training, and/or biomedical experience)
  • Experience with audiovisual and/or information technology and/or simulation technology required
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or understanding of basic medical terms, procedures, or other health related field highly desirable; i.e., medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and/or biochemistry preferred.
  • Professional certifications and/or licenses including but not limited to A+, CHSE, CHSOS are preferred.

DMU offers competitive salaries. For this position, starting salary anticipated to be in the mid $60,000 range, with the final offer determined based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
