Duratec is seeking a Project Engineer to support delivery of a major marine/industrial remediation project based in Perth, working in a site-focused role with strong technical and delivery responsibilities.
This position offers exposure to complex, high-risk works delivered within a live operational environment, requiring strong planning, coordination, and quality management capability. This role will be based around the Fremantle/Kwinana area.
- Lead day-to-day site-based engineering delivery, coordinating works across multiple concurrent work fronts
- Manage concrete remediation scopes including breakout/removal, reinforcement works, and reinstatement
- Support delivery of specialised treatment systems (e.g. cathodic protection or similar corrosion mitigation systems)
- Coordinate temporary works and access systems, ensuring safe and efficient execution of works
- Plan and manage works around operational constraints, maintaining productivity while minimising disruption
- Drive QA outcomes including:
- ITP and PCF implementation
- Inspection and hold point management
- Compilation of handover and MDR documentation
- Coordinate and manage key subcontractor packages, including:
- Access/scaffold
- Concrete cutting and drilling
- Specialist supply and installation scopes
- Monitor progress, productivity, and performance against program
- 5 –7 years’ experience in a Project Engineer minimum
- Strong background delivering civil, structural or remediation works
- Demonstrated experience managing works in live operational or high-risk environments
- Strong understanding of quality documentation and compliance requirements (ITPs, inspections, QA records)
- Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage site delivery effectively
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Prior experience in marine, wharf, or coastal infrastructure works
- Exposure to corrosion protection systems (e.g. cathodic protection)
- Experience managing complex access or temporary works systems
- Strong understanding of staged delivery and constrained work environments
