SENIOR DATA ENGINEER, DATA INTEGRATION

Design and build scalable data ingestion and integration pipelines across on-premise and cloud environments

Develop reusable ETL/ELT, CDC and orchestration patterns for reliable source-to-platform data movement

Modernize existing data integration solutions towards Cembra’s target data-platform architecture

Engineer production-grade solutions with automated testing, monitoring, error handling, performance optimization, CI/CD and version-controlled development

Take ownership of existing integration assets and knowledge, collaborating with Data Solution Engineering, Platform Engineering, Data Architecture and other Technology teams to establish sustainable internal capabilities

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics or a comparable field

5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or data integration in production environments, with strong SQL and good Python skills

Strong experience with ETL/ELT, data ingestion, orchestration and source-to-target mapping

Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing and production-grade engineering practices, including Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric

Experience modernizing established integration environments, such as Informatica or comparable technologies, towards cloud-native platforms

Experience in financial services or another regulated environment is a plus

Strong communication and presentation skills in English (for collaboration with teams and management in Switzerland)
