Senior Manager, Construction & Property Administration (IC)

As a Senior Program Manager you are responsible for successfully managing your assigned Programs/Initiatives to a defined scope, schedule and budget.  Senior Program Managers collaborate directly with the Program Sponsor to define scope, develop project plans and create budgets.  You will lead the coordination of day-to-day sponsor/stakeholder communications.  Senior Program Managers typically manage programs with a capital budget of $1M - $50M.  Sr. Program Managers report to the Director of Construction Program Management and manages a team of Program Managers and Program Coordinators consisting of about 3-8 employees and/or contractors.

In this role your key growth opportunities will include: refining your skills in program management and stakeholder relationship management; following best practices in preparing project plans, budgets, and schedules; issue resolution and negotiation skills; exposure to project requirements across multiple business units, including Category Management, Store Layout, Financial and Scheduling partners, Architecture & Engineering, Procurement, Legal, Merchandising & Construction filed teams; managing and growing relationships with multiple internal business units and third-party vendors.  Senior Program Managers may have direct reports (CVS or contract employees) who need to be managed.  Managing these workers may include; Coaching & Counseling, Positive and/or Constructive Feedback, Mid-year and Year-end evaluations, Developing Talent, etc.

Responsibilities

• Communicate Program requirements from the Sponsor to the applicable internal and external stakeholders, field based execution teams and third-party vendors.  Actively manage the full lifecycle of Programs from concept to execution.
• Maintain frequent and direct contact with the Sponsor; become a trusted advisor managing expectations, ensuring satisfaction, measuring and reporting on Program execution performance, and proactively promoting Client satisfaction and revenue growth
• Utilize the CVS Health and Capital Project Planning/Program Management tools to efficiently maintain Project lists and pipelines, communicate to the teams, establish and measure milestones and deadlines, as appropriate per CVS Health standards and practices
• Define scope, develop project plans, create budgets, and lead the coordination and day-to-day sponsor/stakeholder communication

• Deep knowledge of Program/Project Management processes and tools
• Familiarity with design and construction best practices and processes
• Ability to excel and lead others in a fast paced, high pressure environment
• Ability to adapt to change and shift priorities in order to meet objectives
• Ability to inform and influence stakeholders of various levels
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Bachelor Degree in Design, Architecture, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical), or Construction Management, Business Management or equivalent knowledge gained from education and/or work experience
