Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

What we are looking for:

• An experienced leader who makes the final call: You have worked in technology for at least 8 years and have led teams before. You are comfortable taking full responsibility for technical decisions and don't look to your own boss to make the hard choices for you.
• Comfortable dealing with top bosses and standing your ground: You have direct experience working closely with company owners, CEOs, and upper management. We are specifically looking for someone who knows how to professionally say "no," defend their team's choices, and manage opinions from senior leaders firmly and confidently.
• A business-minded thinker: You don't just care about how things are built; you care about why they are built. You understand how technology helps the company make money and grow, and you work closely with product and sales teams to make sure everyone is aligned.
• A hands-on expert who knows the tech: You are not just a manager who handles paperwork. You still understand how complex systems fit together. While you might not write daily code anymore, you can easily map out plans on a whiteboard and guide your team through difficult technical problems.
• Direct experience building and launching AI products: You have personally been a primary creator behind an artificial intelligence or smart automation product, taking it from the initial idea all the way to a finished tool that real customers use every day. You understand how hard it is to make AI accurate, safe, and reliable, and you know how to test it for quality, not just basic functionality.
• Experience managing remote or split teams: You have successfully hired, managed, and kept together a team of tech professionals who work from different cities or offices.
• A track record of upgrading systems for growth: You have worked at a company during a time when it grew very quickly. You know how to take a software product that was built in a rush and upgrade it so it becomes secure, fast, and stable enough for large corporate clients.
• Complete fluency in English and Mandarin: You must be able to speak, read, and write perfectly in both languages, as you will use both daily for business and technical discussions.
