The Crew Leader - Sanitation leads, supports, coordinates, and directs various crews in the performance of different tasks for the department. Support forestry and park maintenance operations, routine to complex street repair projects, and the operation and maintenance of lake spillway gates.

Organizes, prepares, and issues daily work assignments for crewmembers; coordinates and delegates work to ensure successful completion; provides leadership and direction to ensure safety and technical standards are followed.

Knowledge of City policies and procedures.

EXPERIENCE:

• Three (3) years of experience in heavy equipment operation (e.g., excavator, track/wheeled loader, bulldozer, motor grader, rotoboom).

AND

• Some supervisory/leadwork experience.

EQUIVALENCY: 

• Two (2) years of experience operating a tractor-trailer plus one (1) year of heavy equipment operation (e.g., excavator, track/wheeled loader, bulldozer, motor grader, rotoboom) and some supervisory/leadwork experience will meet the experience requirements.

LICENSE:

• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS-ALL POSITIONS:

• Subject to overtime and/or shift work.

• Subject to inclement weather conditions.  

Salary Range
