The Custodial Supervisor supervises, oversee, monitors, and supports the custodial service for the City and its buildings, facilities, and various departments.
Responsibilities

Supervising and overseeing custodial staff and activities.

Knowledge of City facilities, buildings, and public spaces.

Knowledge and aptitude necessary to perform a variety of routine cleaning and custodial tasks.

Knowledge of developing budgets, tracking expenses, and making purchases.

Administering and facilitating work orders and assignments.

Ability to use hand/power cleaning tools and equipment.

Ability to perform manual labor.
- →
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. Establishing and maintaining effective relationships.
Requirements
~1 min readSubject to twenty-four (24) hour emergency calls
No Felony or Class A misdemeanor convictions
No Class B misdemeanor convictions in the last ten (10) years
No Family Violence convictions
Cannot currently be on deferred adjudication for any Felony, Class A or Class B misdemeanor charge
Requires continuous standing, walking, and bending
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Four (4) years of experience in facilities maintenance or building trades ( i.e., plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, or custodial)
Two (2) years of supervisory or lead work responsibilities (This experience may be included in the required experience listed above.)
Associate degree (or higher) in any field plus two (2) years of the required experience, including two (2) years of supervisory or lead work responsibilities will meet the education and experience requirements.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Must be able to obtain Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) certification within probationary period.
Ability to assign work schedules and make cost/material estimates
