ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Project Manager within our Data Center Operations team, the role will play a pivotal role in executing mission-critical infrastructure projects for clients, growth, or to mitigate risks. This position sits at the intersection of engineering excellence and operational pragmatism, ensuring that all delivered projects meet the stringent requirements of hyperscale environments and Company needs while maintaining 100% alignment with our operational readiness standards.
Core Mission
Your primary accountability will be to lead the end-to-end lifecycle of capital projects – from initial scoping and defined requirement analysis, through to final commissioning and handover to operations. Unlike traditional PM roles, this position requires:
- Data Center-Centric Mindset: Deep understanding of the Market specific technical standards
- Ops Integration: Seamless collaboration with the Operations Team to ensure all deliverables are maintainable and serviceable post-handover
- Scale Management: Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects across geographically dispersed campuses
KEY RESPONSIBILITITES
Lead end-to-end projects related to:
- Capacity Expansion .
- Retrofits & Modernization.
- Civil & Fiber Infrastructure.
- Energy & Sustainability Initiatives.
- Building Management System (BMS).
- Any project related to DC operations.
Project Management:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment with SLAs, KPIs, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver results on time and within budget.
- Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and manage changes to the project scope or schedule.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain delays, permitting, or quality deviations.
- Ensure adherence to security/environmental protocols.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on project status, risks, and issues.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses (CAPEX, COGS), and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained.
- Conduct post-project evaluations and lessons learned to inform future projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety (OSHA, NFPA), environmental, and building codes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or PMP/Prince2 certification is a plus).
- Experience:

- 5+ years in hyperscale data center projects (new builds, retrofits, or fiber infrastructure).
- Proven track record managing budgets >500k€ and multi-vendor environments.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of Data Center Market requirements (e.g., Change Management, Risk Management, BMS, Networking).
- Familiarity with fiber optic networks (OSP/ISP, splicing standards) and civil works (excavation, structural reinforcements).
- Proven experience (typically 3–5+ years) in project management.
- Strong knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, MS Project, Jira).
- Soft Skills:
- Strategic thinking with operational rigor.
- Strong leadership in matrixed and international contexts.
- Influencing and change management skills.
- Analytical mindset with ability to prioritize and arbitrate.
- Ability to mentor and develop functional leaders across countries.
- Strong written and oral communication skills for executive audiences.
