About the Role
~1 min readFeed mills and grain businesses run their daily operations on Datacor Animal Nutrition's Feed ERP products, Feed Mill Manager and Pennent Mill Manager: commodity merchandising, procurement, plant production, and delivery. As Lead Product Manager, you own the strategy, roadmap, and revenue outcomes for this product line.
This role is not a backlog-management job. You are accountable for product-level ARR, net revenue retention, and win rate, and you set pricing and packaging direction. The core qualification is industry depth: you understand how merchandisers, plant managers, and feed businesses actually work, and you turn that into products they will pay for.

~1 min read- Feed industry depth. Meaningful experience in agribusiness, feed manufacturing, or commodity trading, with working knowledge of at least two of: commodity merchandising, ingredient procurement, feed plant operations or livestock feed regulatory requirements.
- Product line ownership. You have owned a B2B software product's roadmap and business outcomes, balancing strategy with delivery.
- Commercial judgment. Evidence that your pricing, packaging, win/loss, or business case work changed a decision.
- Discovery craft. You push past a customer's requested solution to the underlying problem and validate before committing engineering time.
- Strong communication. You can lay out a problem, options, tradeoffs, and a recommendation in a written narrative someone can act on without a meeting, and present it credibly to executives, engineers, and customers.
- Hands-on AI use. You use AI daily to research, draft, analyze, and prototype, and you know when its output needs verification.
- Technical fluency. Comfortable discussing data models, integrations, and product details with development teams.
- Ownership without authority. You drive results through teams that do not report to you, and you travel to customers and events.
- Education. Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Experience with feed and/or ration formulation software, familiarity with nutrition or feed labeling regulations, software development, or product managing AI or data-driven capabilities.
