Cleaning Technician

Our client, a world leader in biotechnology and life sciences, is looking for an “Cleaning Technician”. Location: Hillsboro, OR (Onsite) Job Duration: Long-Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension & FT Conversion) Company Benefits: Medical, Paid Sick Leave, 401 (k) Job Summary Seeking a GMP Cleaning Technician to support client's Innovative Therapies program in Hillsboro, Oregon. Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, this position will perform routine cleaning and maintenance activities within GMP-controlled areas while following established safety, quality, and documentation procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning of GMP areas, including ceilings, walls, floors, drains, stainless steel surfaces, windows, and ledges. Maintain GMP floors, including epoxy, concrete, rubber tile, and sheet vinyl, through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and other approved methods. Vacuum and dust vents within GMP areas. Collect and dispose of non-biological waste and recyclable materials throughout GMP areas. Follow all safety procedures, protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Work with the Supervisor/Manager to schedule daily work and assignments. Verify that all work is performed according to current procedures and established standards. Complete required training in SAP and use SAP for work-order execution. Prepare and communicate nightly site activity updates to the Supervisor or Manager. Maintain inventory of GMP cleaning supplies and escalate supply or operational issues as needed. Complete documentation accurately in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Report issues related to quality, processes, equipment, or materials to the Supervisor. Perform routine tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining a clean and organized work area. Maintain a professional attitude and effective communication at all times. Safely operate cleaning and facility equipment as required. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 1–2 years of experience cleaning GMP-controlled areas or spaces. Ability to read, understand, and follow procedures and work instructions. Basic computer skills. Ability to accurately complete required documentation and paperwork. Ability to safely work around cleaning chemicals and facility equipment. Experience using equipment such as: Floor scrubbers Scissor lifts Manual pallet jacks Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds, including boxes, mop buckets, and furniture.
