Research Associate I - Assay Development/Wet Laboratory

Our client, a world leader in life sciences and biotechnology, is looking for a “Research Associate I” based in Tucson, AZ. Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension) Pay Rate : $27/hr on W2 Company Benefits: Medical, Paid Sick leave, 401K Entry-level Research Associate supporting early-phase assay development within the PHCS/CDx group. The role involves laboratory experimentation, scientific activities, manufacturing procedures, and basic computational data processing prior to clinical laboratory transfer. Key Responsibilities: Perform research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experiments. Design, execute, interpret, and document experiments. Prepare protocols, technical reports, summaries, and quantitative analyses. Present experimental results to project and department teams. Maintain accurate laboratory records and electronic documentation. Follow GMP, GLP, Design Control, and applicable regulatory requirements. Conduct assigned experiments independently and support team members with basic computational biology tasks, including running scripts and reading code. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field. 0–2 years of relevant laboratory/industry experience. Important: Candidates with a Master’s/PhD or >2 years of relevant experience are considered overqualified. Interview: 15-minute video screen → On-site panel interview.
