Scientist (PCR, qPCR, molecular biology)

Our client, a world leader in biotechnology and life sciences, is looking for a “Scientist" based out of Pleasanton, CA. Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension) Pay Rate : $49/hr on W2 DOE Company Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Sick leave, 401K Support assay development activities through laboratory experimentation, data analysis, and documentation in a regulated R&D environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on molecular biology experience, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of DNA/RNA-based techniques. Key Responsibilities: Conduct laboratory experiments following established protocols, safety guidelines, and data integrity standards. Perform DNA/RNA isolation and molecular biology techniques including PCR, qPCR, and preferably digital PCR. Analyze experimental data using statistical tools such as JMP and document results in electronic laboratory notebooks (eLN). Prepare technical reports, protocols, and supporting documentation for design history files. Troubleshoot experimental issues and contribute to project timelines and objectives. Present findings to supervisors and project teams as needed. Support routine laboratory operations, inventory management, safety compliance, and quality system requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field. 0–5 years of laboratory experience in assay development, molecular biology, or related research environments. Hands-on experience with DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, and molecular biology techniques. Strong data analysis and documentation skills. Familiarity with statistical software such as JMP preferred. Knowledge of laboratory quality systems, data integrity practices, and regulated environments is a plus.
