Our client, a world leader in life sciences, is looking for Senior Specialist, Laboratory IT & Systems Support in Foster City, CA. Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension) Pay Rate: $76/hr on W2 Company Benefits: Medical, Paid Sick leave, 401K We are seeking a Senior Specialist, Laboratory IT & Systems Support to support laboratory computing environments, scientific instruments, laboratory software, and IT infrastructure within a regulated biotech/pharmaceutical environment. Key Responsibilities Manage laboratory computers, instrument-connected workstations, deployments, upgrades, and retirement. Support laboratory instrument software, vendor applications, and connectivity. Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and laboratory technology issues. Coordinate network connections, security patching, and compliance activities. Maintain CMDB records and laboratory technology inventories. Partner with IT, LIS, Digital & Data, Facilities, Quality, and instrument vendors. Support laboratory expansions, relocations, renovations, and startup activities. Develop technical documentation, support procedures, and operational standards. Lead or support laboratory IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience supporting laboratory IT, laboratory systems, or scientific instrumentation. Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or regulated laboratory environments. Experience working with instrument vendors and enterprise IT teams.
