Nurses Make a Difference!\r\nNow offering Recruitment and Referral Incentives at the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS)!\r\n$10,000.00 recruitment incentive for:\r\nRegistered Nurses\r\nAdvanced Practice Nurses\r\nNurse Consultants\r\nNursing Supervisors\r\nCompliance Nurses�\r\n\r\n\r\n$7,500.00 recruitment incentive for Licensed Practical Nurse\r\n$5,000.00 recruitment incentive for Certified Nurse’s Assistant\r\n�\r\nReferral bonuses of $1,000 are available to referring DHSS employees.\r\nYou must be a new employee to the State of DE to be eligible for this program.\r\n�\r\nThe Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) seeks to increase the number of applicants for clinical nursing positions by offering a recruitment incentive to eligible Advanced Practice Nurse, Nurse Consultant, Nursing Supervisor, Compliance Nurse, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, and Certified Nursing Assistant candidates in accordance with the DHSS Recruitment and Referral�Incentive Program.\r\n�\r\nThe program provides incentives as follows:\r\nRecruitment incentives will be paid in quarterly installments over the first year of hire and will begin after the first quarter of employment. New employees accepting this recruitment bonus must commit to two consecutive years of employment with DHSS.� You must be a new employee to the state to be eligible for this incentive.\r\n�\r\nReferral bonuses of $1,000 are available to current DHSS employees who refer new hires to the state in the following classifications: Advanced Practice Nurse, Nurse Consultant, Nursing Supervisor, Compliance Nurse, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, and Certified Nursing Assistant.�Referral bonuses of $1,000 will be paid in quarterly installments over the first year of hire of the referred applicant.\r\n�\r\n\r\nNOTE: This program is administered by the Department of Health and Social Services. The program may be terminated by the State at any time.\r\n

Summary Statement

The incumbent in this position performs clinical assessments and needs to communicate with the physician, families, and guardians and managed care. Duties include administering medications, completing treatments and documentation. The incumbent also delegates duties to the LPNs and to the CNAs and monitors care given to the residents.\r\n

Essential Functions

Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here.\r\n\r\n Provides or evaluates direct nursing care.\r\n Develops, implements and/or reviews nursing care plans.\r\n Provides health care instruction and guidance to individuals, families, community groups and/or nursing home facilities in the management of their health care needs.\r\n Maintains an effective working relationship with other members of the treatment team.\r\n Prepares and submits records, reports, evaluations and forms.�\r\n Participates in and make recommendations regarding quality assurance activities.�\r\n\r\n

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Registered Nurse I\r\nApplicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:\r\n\r\n\r\n Possession of a Delaware Registered Nurse license, Delaware temporary license or multi-state compact license.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nJOB REQUIREMENTS for Registered Nurse II\r\nApplicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:�\r\n\r\n\r\n Possession of a Bachelors degree or higher in Nursing OR at least one year experience as a Registered Nurse.\r\n Possession of a Delaware Registered Nurse license OR multi-state compact license.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nJOB REQUIREMENTS for Registered Nurse III\r\nApplicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:\r\n\r\n\r\n At least two years experience as a Registered Nurse OR a Bachelors degree or higher in Nursing and at least one year experience as a Registered Nurse OR a Masters degree or higher in Nursing.\r\n Possession of a Delaware Registered Nurse license OR multi-state compact license.\r\n\r\n\r\n
