Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Clinical Studies and Imaging Practice

• Full-time and continuing in the Faculty of Health, School of Medicine
• Level B $122,391 - $144,759 or Level C $149,230 - $171,602 + 17% Superannuation (pro rata, part time)

The Faculty of Health is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching, learning, creativity, social development, and groundbreaking research and discovery. We work closely with industry partners and government bodies to translate discoveries into real-word impact. This role will specifically be working within the School of Medicine.

The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Clinical Studies and Imaging Practice will contribute to the teaching, curriculum development, research and clinical education of the Bachelor of Medical Imaging program. The role combines medical imaging expertise with academic teaching, research and industry engagement, with the Senior Lecturer providing additional leadership in curriculum innovation, research, academic governance and mentoring. The position would suit medical imaging professionals with strong clinical experience and an interest in education, research and advancing evidence-based practice.

• Design, coordinate and deliver high-quality teaching and learning across the Bachelor of Medical Imaging program.
• Contribute to curriculum development, assessment and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with professional standards and accreditation requirements.
• Support student learning, success and progression through effective supervision, feedback and academic guidance.
• Undertake and contribute to research, scholarly activities, publications and research funding opportunities.
• Apply contemporary, evidence-based clinical and academic practice to teaching, learning and research.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with industry, professional, community and academic stakeholders.
• Contribute to academic service, governance and collaborative initiatives within the School and discipline.
• For appointment at Senior Lecturer level, provide academic leadership, mentor colleagues and lead curriculum, research and discipline initiatives.

• Completion of a PhD or equivalent qualification; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
• Demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, research and service
• Evidence of research impact and contribution to the discipline
• Experience in curriculum development and innovation
• Demonstrated ability to provide academic leadership and mentorship
• AHPRA registration (Medical Radiation Practice)
• Radiation Use licence
• Ultrasound experience (desirable)
