Our client, a leading bank based in Sandton, is looking for an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join their team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a BI professional who is passionate about transforming data into meaningful insights, driving reporting excellence, and enhancing business decision-making through innovative Power BI solutions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in improving reporting delivery, enhancing dashboard usability and aesthetics, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the BI environment.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
- →Deliver meaningful business insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
- →Lead and drive Power BI transformation initiatives across the business.
- →Improve report design, usability, performance, and overall user experience.
- →Enhance reporting delivery cadence through automation and best practices.
- →Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- →Develop and maintain scalable data models and data pipelines.
- →Ensure data accuracy, quality, governance, and reporting standards are maintained.
- →Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the BI landscape.
- →Work closely with technical and business teams to deliver high-quality analytics solutions.
Requirements
~1 min read- 5–8+ years' experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Engineering.
- Power BI Certification (essential).
- Data Engineering Certification (essential).
- Demonstrated experience leading or driving Power BI transformation initiatives.
- Strong experience developing executive dashboards and business reports using Power BI.
- Solid understanding of data modelling and data engineering principles.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Banking or financial services experience will be highly advantageous.
