Our client in the banking sector is looking for experienced Senior Data Engineers to join a growing technical environment, developing and enhancing modern cloud-based data platforms.

This is a hands-on engineering opportunity where you will be actively involved in writing code, building data pipelines, developing complex ETL/ELT processes and delivering scalable data solutions that support critical business and banking operations.

Responsibilities

→Design, develop and optimise scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms.
→Build complex ETL/ELT processes using advanced Python and SQL.
→Develop, implement and maintain data engineering solutions on AWS.
→Build and manage data integration, ingestion and processing frameworks.
→Work with large datasets and distributed data processing technologies.
→Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation and deployment processes.
→Implement data quality, monitoring and performance optimisation practices.
→Collaborate with architects, developers and other technical stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions.

Proven experience in a hands-on Data Engineering role.
Strong practical Python development skills – actively writing and maintaining production code.
Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries and data transformations.
Practical experience building and managing data pipelines.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud data technologies.
Experience with ETL/ELT processes and modern data platforms.
Understanding of CI/CD, automation and software development lifecycle practices.
Experience working with large-scale data environments and distributed processing.
