This is a full-time year-round position that includes snow removal during the winter months with some overnight work along with some daytime snow removal.

Position Summary

The Lawn Care Crew Member supports the maintenance and care of residential and/or commercial properties. This role works as part of a crew to deliver high-quality lawn care services including mowing, trimming, edging, fertilization, and general property upkeep.

The Lawn Care Crew Member performs hands-on field work, assists with equipment and materials, and helps maintain clean, safe, and professional job sites. This position is ideal for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality work, and values teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

Crew Support & Daily Operations

• Work as part of a lawn care crew under the direction of a Crew Leader or Foreman
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and trailers with equipment and materials
• Follow daily routes and schedules efficiently
• Maintain clean, organized trucks, trailers, and job sites
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards

Lawn Care & Property Maintenance

• Perform lawn care services including:
  • Mowing, trimming, and edging
  • Blowing and cleanup of clippings and debris
  • Fertilization and weed control applications (as trained and licensed)
  • Seasonal services such as aeration, dethatching, and overseeding
• Assist with basic landscape maintenance such as pruning, mulching, and bed maintenance
• Operate lawn care equipment safely, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and spreaders

Communication & Teamwork

• Communicate respectfully and professionally with teammates and customers
• Follow instructions and ask questions when clarification is needed
• Maintain a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
• Report property issues, equipment problems, or material needs to the Crew Leader

Safety & Performance

• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Use equipment properly and safely at all times
• Contribute to completing daily routes efficiently and to quality standards
• Maintain attention to detail to ensure consistent, high-quality results

Required Qualifications

• Previous lawn care, landscaping, or outdoor work experience preferred (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (chauffeur’s license preferred)
• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate lawn care equipment
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Comfortable working outdoors in Michigan weather conditions

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials as needed
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and on uneven terrain
