Join our growing team as an Industrial Electro-Mechanical Technician and play a vital role in keeping our production facility operating safely and efficiently. We are seeking a skilled, hands-on maintenance professional with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities who enjoys working in a fast-paced industrial environment.

This is a full-time position with a regular schedule of 40+ hours per week, including opportunities for overtime. The position follows a 4-day workweek (four 10-hour shifts) with rotating Saturday morning coverage.

Responsibilities

As an Industrial Electro-Mechanical Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing the equipment that keeps our industrial laundry operation running at peak performance. You'll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.

You'll work on a variety of industrial systems and equipment, including:

  • Industrial washers and dryers
  • Ironers and finishing equipment
  • Conveyor systems
  • Boilers and steam systems
  • Air compressors
  • Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

Your expertise will help maximize equipment reliability, improve operational efficiency, and support a safe, productive work environment.

  • Diagnose and Repair Equipment: Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam systems. Identify root causes of equipment failures and perform corrective repairs with minimal supervision.
  • Electrical & Controls: Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and ladder logic. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems and control wiring up to 480V three-phase. Perform maintenance on motors, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, and electrical circuits.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on industrial washers, dryers, ironers, conveyors, boilers, air compressors, pumps, motors, PLC-controlled equipment, and other production machinery to maximize equipment reliability.
  • Industrial Systems: Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, compressed air, steam, and boiler systems. Repair and replace various water and air pumps, valves, cylinders, bearings, belts, chains, and related mechanical components.
  • Equipment Documentation: Accurately document maintenance activities, work orders, parts usage, and equipment history within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash procedures, and safe work practices. Participate in safety inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend improvements that increase reliability, reduce downtime, and improve production efficiency.
  • Project Support: Assist with equipment installations, facility expansions, renovations, machinery upgrades, capital improvement projects, and equipment commissioning.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance personnel to resolve equipment issues efficiently. Provide guidance and on-the-job training to less experienced technicians as needed.
  • Equipment Standards: Maintain all equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company maintenance standards.
  • Material Handling & Mobility: Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other maintenance equipment. Work comfortably at heights, outdoors in varying weather conditions, and travel occasionally between facilities when required.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Associate degree, technical diploma, or trade certification in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
  • 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including AC/DC motors, motor controls, VFDs, control panels, and 480V three-phase electrical systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining PLC-controlled equipment, with the ability to read and interpret ladder logic.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, compressed air, and boiler systems.
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and NFPA 70E electrical safety standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in industrial environments that may include heights, confined spaces, varying temperatures, and outdoor conditions.
  • Must possess strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
