Hygiene Assistant

The Dentologie South Lake Union dental practice is seeking a full-time Hygiene Assistant to provide outstanding patient care! 

A Hygiene Assistant with Dentologie will have excellent hourly pay ($25/hr,) growth opportunities, benefits package, full-time hours with a balanced schedule, and to be part of an outstanding (fun!) culture!

Schedule:

• Monday: 12:30pm-7:30pm
• Tuesday: 7:30am-2:30pm
• Wednesday: 12:30pm-7:30pm
• Thursday: 7:30am-2:30pm
• Friday: 7:30am-3:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties.
• Assist hygienist chairside during examination and treatment of a variety of procedures.
• Provide a 10-star Patient experience.
• Prepares instruments and materials for the dentist for upcoming procedures.
• Passes dental instruments between provider and assistant (4-handed dentistry).
• Make patients as comfortable as possible in the chair while preparing them for treatment.
• Sterilize & disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories post treatment. 
• Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education. 
• Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos.

• Required: six months DA experience: active WA state dental assistant registration number.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, customer service & written communication skills.
• Clinical knowledge, skills along with patient care.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate.
• Function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Preferred: coronal polishing certificate.
