In the Business Data and Analytics Administrative Department, you’re part of a dynamic team of data specialists who contribute to various initiatives and priority requests for the sector. You do this by providing tools and support aimed at making optimal use of data. As a Data Valorization Advisor, you collect and valorize Business sector data that comes through different channels. You give meaning to data by extracting, describing and analyzing it in order to facilitate business decision-making. More specifically, you will be required to :
- Identify and analyze user needs, work on data valorization initiatives, and ensure operationalization through the cross-sector coordination required.
- Make recommendations and help clients define their data needs.
- Help deliver analytics projects in collaboration with IT and architecture teams.
- Structure and optimize data while ensuring alignment of best practices for data valorization and governance based on the organization’s guidelines.
- Work independently on developing effective queries to extract data from various sources.
- Build and develop complex reports and make recommendations to support business decision-making.
- Conduct research and descriptive and diagnostic analysis to ensure optimal data use. Make recommendations in line with business issues and needs.
- Document and summarize complex, technical concepts and put them into plain language for different audiences.

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, business intelligence or a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience, including at least four years in a role related to business intelligence or data analytics
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
- Proficiency in SQL, SAS or Python and one or more data visualization tools (ideally Power BI)
- Knowledge of the Business sector and ideally of the distribution network (Desjardins Business centres and Business Services Centres)
