Blend Operator - Night shift

The Blend Operator is responsible for following all DFA Ingredient Solutions GMP’s and working in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, and quality and sanitation requirements.

• →Weighs each ingredient and add to the batch
• →Ensures the product is ready to dry
• →Carries out all QA checks in the mix room
• →Operates the pH meter, refractometer, etc. to keep product within specifications
• →Performs necessary routine cleaning and preventive maintenance
• →Follows established plant operating and cleaning procedures
• →Follows Good Manufacturing Practices
• →Assists with safety analysis and on the job training of new employees
• →Attends educational training seminars as needed (i.e. loss control)
• →Attends and participates in safety meetings
• →Reports unsafe acts, conditions, and accidents immediately to supervisor
• →Assists in accident investigations
• →Covers vacations and overtime as needed or required
• →Assists with duties in other departments as needed

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and job safety analysis
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage
• Performs work independently, as required
• Knowledge with machines, tools, equipment, and lockout tagout
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
