We are looking for a talented, forward-thinking experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our Mountain View studio. In this role, you will work on sophisticated commercial and corporate projects while shaping spaces from initial concept through final occupancy. In this role, you will:
- Lead the Design Process: Own all phases of design with high creativity and expertise, ensuring projects meet firm goals and excellence standards.
- Shape the Vision: Initiate and develop detailed design concepts, functional requirements, and project-specific criteria.
- Integrate Architecture & Interiors: Apply deep knowledge of the architectural process to seamlessly integrate standalone interiors into broader project concepts.
- Drive Projects & Client Relationships: Lead interior design efforts and project teams, serving as a primary point of contact for client engagement.
- Tell the Story: Use strong graphic storytelling to pitch ideas, advance project delivery, and expand project scope.
- Grow the Business: Participate in marketing efforts, lead design presentations for prospective clients, and build lasting professional relationships.
- Showcase the Work: Prepare high-quality client presentation packages, external publications, and design award submissions.
- Ensure Quality Control: Review design documentation for accuracy, legibility, and compliance with company delivery manuals.
- Foster Collaboration: Lead team design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and pin-ups to push creative boundaries.
- Inspire and Mentor: Communicate effectively to motivate teams, spark high performance, and mentor junior staff.
- Coordinate Seamlessly: Keep clients, partners, and consultants aligned and collaborative throughout the entire project lifecycle.
You'll bring to DGA:
- 12+ years of commercial interior design experience in preparing comprehensive design packages including architectural detailing and thorough knowledge of construction documentation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design and/or Architecture from an accredited design school
- Advanced knowledge of all interior design phases of corporate projects of varying sizes and complexities from conception through construction (initial programming through construction to final occupancy)
- Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples
- Space planning, concept development, finish selection, specification
- Conceptual sketching ability desired; experience with Photoshop, SketchUp, or Illustrator as design communication tool highly desirable
- Possess excellent presentation skills and have the ability to manage multiple projects
- Working knowledge and application of building codes
- CCIDC / NCIDQ Certification a plus
- Must be proficient in Autodesk Building Design Suite/Revit

At the time of posting this job advertisement, the annual pay salary range for this position is between $120,000 to $160,000 commensurate with qualifications
