As a Healthcare Project Architect at DGA, you will lead the technical execution of complex healthcare projects that prioritize patient outcomes, clinical efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
In this role, you will:
- Manage all aspects of project coordination—balancing client engagement, team leadership, and technical documentation to deliver healthcare environments that exceed expectations for function, performance, and safety.
- Serve as a key liaison between clients, consultants, vendors, and contractors, ensuring seamless communication throughout all phases of project delivery.
- Provide forward-thinking, code-compliant technical solutions that address the complexities of clinical workflows, medical equipment integration, and evolving healthcare standards.
- Lead the development and quality control of technical documentation, advocating for clarity and accuracy in all drawings, details, and specifications.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of healthcare building systems, codes, and delivery methods (including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, Design-Assist, IPD, IFOA, etc.) to inform strategy and execution.
- Champion technical excellence through proactive problem-solving, mentoring, and a collaborative project approach.
- Maintain and expand trusted client relationships, acting as a confident and professional representative of DGA's healthcare practice.
You'll bring to DGA:
- 12+ years of experience as a technical project architect with a strong focus on healthcare environments, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and specialty care facilities.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (required); licensed or registered architect preferred.
- Exceptional knowledge of building systems, detailing, materials, construction sequencing, and agency review processes, especially in California.
- Proven experience developing project manuals, technical specifications, and contract documents for complex, regulated projects.
- Strong ability to conduct on-site observations, process RFIs, manage submittals, and interface with permitting agencies and HCAI/OSHPD officials during design and construction.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (required); familiarity with Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office tools.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple fast-paced deadlines.
- Additional certifications such as LEED, WELL, EDAC, ACHA, LCI, DBIA are a plus and reflect a commitment to excellence in healthcare architecture

At the time of posting this job advertisement, the annual pay salary range for this position is between $110,000 to $140,000 commensurate with qualifications
