Global Business Services (GBS) acts as the strategic enabler of our business, providing essential operational, financial, and analytical services that power day-to-day performance across 40+ markets. With a diverse team of over 2,000 professionals located in Bangalore, Gurugram, Budapest, Bogota, and Manila, GBS offers tremendous exposure to global operations and a wide learning landscape.
We foster continuous development across digital capabilities, industry expertise, functional skills, and domain depth. No matter where your journey begins, you’ll gain global visibility, meaningful impact, and the support of an inclusive and empowering culture.
About the role:
The Reporting Manager – Customer Spend owns performance reporting and analytics for customer spend — trade spend, claims, deductions, and Condition Contract activity — across the markets GBS supports. The role turns fragmented, manual data into a single, trusted view of spend performance, risk, and health, and equips leadership with the dashboards, models, and narratives needed to make faster, evidence-based decisions.
Success in this role requires strong technical reporting skills (Python, Power BI, advanced Excel), hands-on knowledge of SAP S/4HANA data, the judgement to translate numbers into a clear business story, and the presence to present that story convincingly to senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
~1 min read· Own the end-to-end customer spend reporting framework, including daily/weekly/monthly dashboards covering claims volume, spend accuracy, ageing, rejection rates, and risk-tier performance.
· Design and build automated, self-service Power BI dashboards (data modelling, DAX measures and refresh pipelines) sourced from SAP S/4HANA, Anaplan and Excel-based trackers.
· Extract, model and reconcile customer spend data directly from SAP S/4HANA, including condition contracts and Settlement Management, rebate accruals and settlements, customer deductions and dispute cases, and the related billing and FI postings. Use CDS views, standard reports and Fiori analytical apps to build one trusted data set.
· Write Python-based scripts to automate recurring data consolidation, cleansing, and reconciliation across customer spend data sources, reducing manual reporting effort.
· Build advanced Excel models (pivot-driven, macro/VBA-enabled) for scenario analysis, variance tracking, and FTE or cost-impact assessments.
· Conduct deep-dive and root-cause analysis on claim rejections, processing delays, and spend variances; convert findings into clear, quantified, decision-ready insights.
· Prepare and deliver advanced, executive-ready presentations that translate complex spend data into a concise business narrative for senior leadership.
· Partner with CIO, Commercial, and Finance leadership to define KPIs, scorecards, and risk-based reporting models (e.g., high/medium/low risk validation tiers), and to pressure-test the numbers behind any business case before it reaches leadership.
· Maintain data integrity and standardised definitions across customer spend reporting; proactively identify and reconcile discrepancies between source systems and summary reporting.
· Reconcile SAP S/4HANA accruals, condition contract balances and settlements against the general ledger and reporting outputs, and explain any gaps to Finance.
· Flag data quality, methodology, or reconciliation gaps in existing reporting and business cases, and recommend fixes before figures are presented externally.
· Support the design, testing, and rollout of new reporting tools, automation, and process improvements across the customer spend value chain.
· Act as the reporting subject-matter expert for SAP S/4HANA changes and enhancements. Define reporting requirements, support data mapping and user acceptance testing, and make sure KPIs stay consistent through system changes.
· Apply structured, agile ways of working (backlog prioritisation, iterative delivery) to continuously improve reporting speed and accuracy.
· Act as the trusted analytics partner to Commercial, Finance, Customer, and CIO teams on all customer spend performance questions.
· Present findings and recommendations confidently to senior and executive audiences, adapting depth and format to the audience.
· Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure reporting reflects operational reality and supports, rather than duplicates, existing processes.
This role is technically hands-on. Candidates should be able to demonstrate, not just describe, the following:
Automating data pipelines and repeatable reporting scripts (pandas-based cleansing, consolidation, and reconciliation) across customer spend data sources.
Data modelling, DAX measures, and interactive dashboard design for spend, claims, and risk-tier performance reporting.
Extracting and reconciling customer spend data from S/4HANA (condition contracts, Settlement Management, accruals, deductions and billing), working with CDS views and Fiori apps, and understanding SD/FI document flow.
Complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros/VBA for ad-hoc analysis, variance tracking, and FTE/cost-impact modelling.
Building and delivering polished, executive-ready PowerPoint decks that turn data into a clear, persuasive business narrative.
Requirements

· Advanced PowerPoint / presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to present to senior leadership — required.

· Familiarity with Anaplan or similar planning tools.
· Exposure to agile ways of working, and to Lean/Six Sigma or other continuous-improvement methodologies.
· Analytical and evidence-led — lets the data lead the conclusion, even when it complicates the story.
· High ownership, attention to detail, and structured thinking.
· Confident communicator — able to simplify complexity for a senior, non-technical audience.
· Proactive change mindset; comfortable challenging existing reporting and processes to improve them.
· Thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and data-heavy environment.
