The Senior Sales Executive plays a pivotal role in driving sustainable growth across key banking and retail clients by managing the full sales lifecycle — from identifying opportunities to closing strategic, high‑value deals. This role is designed for a relationship‑focused, commercially minded leader who understands the realities of operating in complex, fast‑changing environments. You will partner closely with clients to understand their world, co‑create meaningful solutions, and build long‑term relationships rooted in trust, credibility, and shared success. You’ll work within a collaborative, people‑centric culture that values ownership, resilience, and making a real impact — both for customers and the wider community. Responsibilities:
Account Relationship Management & Sales Process
- Manage all stages of the sales process, including prospecting, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with customers across all levels—from operations teams to C‑suite executives.
- Deeply understand customer strategies, market dynamics, and industry trends in both banking and retail, identifying their impact on existing and future business opportunities.
- Proactively address customer challenges, applying creativity and past experience to drive effective solutions.
Strategic Account Development
- Create and execute comprehensive Account Plans encompassing both transactional and strategic growth initiatives.
- Develop compelling Value Propositions aligned with client business objectives, converting them into a healthy sales pipeline and successful wins.
- Demonstrate strong awareness of financial and commercial implications of deals and tailor interactions accordingly.
Internal & External Collaboration
- Mentor and guide delivery teams to ensure customers receive a consistent, high‑quality, and value‑driven service experience.
- Manage client expectations, provide updates to senior customer stakeholders, and participate in steering and executive review meetings.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with both internal and external stakeholders, escalating risks and ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.
- Oversee commercial aspects of client engagements such as contracts, proposals, licensing, and change agreements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Master´s degree.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in sales, account management, or business development.
- Experience or background in core banking, financial services, or retail industry operations.
- Understanding of how banking branches, retail environments, or customer experience centers operate—and how technology enables them.
- Strong business, financial, and commercial acumen with the ability to understand and articulate client business drivers.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, writing, and collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as in multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in complex solution sales, particularly software, services, or technology-driven offerings.
- High problem‑solving aptitude, strong negotiation skills, and excellent decision‑making capabilities.
- Consultative selling experience with complex, multi‑layered solution design.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with working knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Demonstrated success building strategic customer relationships with senior executives.
- Highly organized, entrepreneurial, solution‑oriented mindset with strong time and territory management skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Competencies:
- Existing professional network within banking or financial services, retail industry.
- Familiarity with Diebold Nixdorf solutions, or similar technology ecosystems, is considered a plus.
