As Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) at Digital Realty, you will strengthen our cybersecurity posture across EMEA – leading security planning, risk assessment, control assurance, and the integration of security into systems, projects, and operational processes.

Working closely with technology, engineering, operations, compliance, and business teams, you will translate risk into clear actions, build trusted relationships with stakeholders, and mentor others across the cybersecurity function.

What you’ll do

Ensure cybersecurity measures comply with contractual requirements and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Establish and maintain trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
Design and implement security solutions at the enterprise level, ensuring seamless integration with the existing IT environment.
Engage in the change management process by assessing the security impact of proposed changes and providing recommendations.
Monitor system recovery processes to ensure the proper restoration of security features and functions following any outages.
Oversee the integration of new security solutions within the production IT environment, working closely with engineering teams.
Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and verify compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, and report findings, incidents, and key security metrics to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
Act as the central point of contact for cybersecurity topics across the organization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed security considerations throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide expert guidance and mentorship to the cybersecurity team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

The specialist manages the day-to-day operations of the cyber resilience function, ensuring that security protocols and data protection measures are consistently applied. They may supervise direct reports, assigning tasks and adjusting priorities as needed to meet deliverable goals and objectives. The role requires proposing well-considered solutions that account for impacts across different units and processes, and overseeing the implementation of these solutions. Collaboration with other teams is essential to maintain a secure environment and uphold the organization's core values of customer focus, teamwork, and results-driven performance. The specialist is expected to stay current with industry best practices and internal standards, adapting strategies to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities. They play a key role in building and maintaining digital trust between the enterprise and its customers. 4-7 Years experience in information security or cyber resilience, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, Strong knowledge of security frameworks and data protection regulations, Experience with systems engineering and security architecture, Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams.
