Senior Environment & Energy Reporting Manager (m/w/d)

Your Role

As an Operational Environment & Energy Reporting Manager (m/w/d), you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance of Digital Realty's environmental and energy reporting activities across Central Europe region. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Sustainability, Compliance, and external stakeholders, you will translate sustainability and energy requirements into practical operational actions while supporting reporting obligations and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a highly visible position requiring strong stakeholder management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments independently. 

• →Lead the collection, validation, and reporting of environmental and energy data across multiple EMEA countries.
• →Ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and audit readiness for internal and external reporting requirements.
• →Monitor regulatory developments and support compliance with applicable environmental and energy-related regulations.
• →Coordinate reporting activities with Operations, Engineering, Sustainability, Compliance, and external authorities.
• →Analyze performance trends and provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• →Support energy efficiency, sustainability, and emissions reduction initiatives across the operational portfolio.
• →Translate corporate sustainability objectives into practical operational guidance and measurable actions.
• →Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for internal stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
• →Act as a trusted subject matter expert for environmental and energy regulatory reporting topics within the subregion.
• →Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes, controls, and data quality standards.
• →Build and maintain strong relationships with utility providers, industry partners, regulatory agencies, and key stakeholders.
• →5+ years of experience in energy management, environmental reporting, sustainability, regulatory compliance, or a related field. 
• →Experience working within highly regulated environments such as energy, utilities, industrial, critical infrastructure, or data centers. 
• →Strong understanding of environmental and energy reporting requirements, compliance processes, and audit environments. 
• →Ability to manage complex topics independently and drive initiatives with minimal supervision. 
• →Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy. 
• →Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams. 
• →Degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Sustainability, Business Administration, Law, or a related discipline. 
• →Fluent German (C1+) is essential for communicating with German authorities and handling formal or regulatory correspondence.
• →English skills (B2+) are also required.
