Laravel Backend Developer

We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Laravel Backend Developer to join a collaborative engineering team building innovative customer engagement and digital loyalty solutions. • 5+ years of experience developing backend applications using Laravel or similar PHP frameworks
• Experience building and maintaining backend services, workers, and scheduled processes
• Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs
• Experience working with and extending existing production codebases
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code

• Working knowledge of AWS services
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is advantageous
• Experience with CI/CD processes and deployment pipelines
• Strong understanding of relational databases and backend architecture
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and deployment best practices
• Exposure to POS system integrations is beneficial

• Understanding of secure coding practices and API security
• Experience participating in code reviews and collaborative development
• Strong interest in AI-assisted development tools and emerging technologies
• Experience working within Agile development environments is advantageous

• Ability to manage multiple development tasks and stakeholder expectations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Laravel
• Develop, enhance, and maintain RESTful APIs
• Build scalable, secure, and maintainable backend functionality
• Deliver assigned features on time while meeting technical and business requirements
• Identify technical challenges early and collaborate with the team to resolve them

• Develop solutions that integrate with AWS services
• Support integrations with external platforms and systems where required
• Follow best practices for testing, deployment, security, and application performance
• Contribute to CI/CD processes and DevOps initiatives alongside the engineering team

• Work closely with frontend, mobile, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end product features
• Participate in planning sessions, estimations, and team discussions
• Communicate project progress, technical challenges, and recommendations effectively
• Support non-technical stakeholders by explaining technical concepts clearly

• Produce and maintain API documentation and technical documentation
• Document technical designs, implementation decisions, and key learnings
• Participate in retrospectives and contribute ideas to improve engineering processes
• Support production systems by resolving issues and implementing enhancements
• Share knowledge and contribute to a collaborative learning culture across the development team
