Chemistry Teacher (Science) St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High SchoolHammond, LouisianaPosition begins: 2026–2027 School Year St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High School (STA) in Hammond, Louisiana, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year. Based on the candidate’s expertise and experience, this position may also include teaching additional science courses. Position Overview The Chemistry Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, rigorous instruction aligned with school, diocesan, and state standards while supporting the mission of Catholic education. The ideal candidate is passionate about science education, student-centered learning, and fostering both academic excellence and personal growth. Responsibilities Teach high school Chemistry; additional science courses may be assigned based on qualifications Develop and implement effective lesson plans and assessments Create a positive, faith-filled, and academically challenging classroom environment Collaborate with the science department and faculty on curriculum development Support students’ academic and spiritual development Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) Teaching certification or eligibility for certification in Louisiana preferred but not required Experience teaching high school science preferred Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills Compensation & Benefits Salary: Commensurate with experience Benefits: Health care, 401(k) retirement plan, and other applicable benefits     About St. Thomas Aquinas St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High School is committed to academic excellence, spiritual formation, and service, preparing students to become faith-filled leaders in their communities.
