We are seeking a skilled, hands-on Residential Renovation Technician to support property renovations, turnovers, and improvement projects across Dominion's residential portfolio. This individual will play an important role in preparing newly acquired and renovated properties for occupancy by completing repairs, installations, and renovation punch-list items.

The ideal candidate has practical experience in residential construction, electrical and plumbing work, and general home renovations. They take pride in their craftsmanship, work efficiently, and can independently complete projects while maintaining high-quality standards.

Your Impact

Help transform and prepare residential properties for occupancy through quality renovation and improvement work.
Execute property turnover projects efficiently, ensuring homes are completed on schedule and ready for their next occupants.
Complete electrical, plumbing, and general renovation projects that improve the functionality, safety, and overall quality of properties.
Support the company's acquisition and renovation operations by completing projects in-house and reducing reliance on outside contractors for routine work.
Maintain high workmanship standards while helping Dominion maximize the value of its residential property portfolio.

What You'll Do
Property Renovations & Turnovers

Complete renovation punch-list items and prepare properties for occupancy.
Perform general residential repairs and improvements as part of property turnover projects.
Install and replace fixtures, hardware, doors, trim, and other residential components.
Assist with minor carpentry, drywall repairs, patching, painting, and finishing work.
Identify outstanding renovation items and ensure properties are completed to established standards.
Coordinate project progress and communicate material or supply needs to the property operations team.

Electrical & Plumbing Work

Perform residential electrical work, including outlet and switch replacements, fixture installations, breaker troubleshooting, and basic wiring repairs within applicable licensing requirements.
Complete plumbing projects, including leak repairs, faucet and toilet installations, sink replacements, garbage disposal installations, and drain troubleshooting.
Diagnose common electrical and plumbing issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
Assist with minor HVAC-related work, including thermostat replacements and basic troubleshooting.

Project Execution & Organization

Manage assigned renovation and turnover projects while meeting established timelines.
Ensure completed work meets applicable safety requirements and building codes.
Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition.
Keep job sites clean, organized, and professional.
Communicate project updates, completion status, and potential issues to the property operations team.
Work independently while collaborating with the broader property operations team.

What We're Looking For

Previous hands-on experience in residential renovations, construction, property turnovers, or a similar trade-related position.
Practical experience with residential electrical and plumbing repairs.
Working knowledge of general residential construction and renovation techniques.
Ability to complete renovation punch lists and property improvement projects independently.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize assignments.
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
Dependable, organized, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

Trade school education or relevant certifications in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or general construction.
Experience renovating single-family or multifamily residential properties.
Experience preparing properties for resale or rental occupancy.
Familiarity with residential building materials, tools, and construction methods.

Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Compensation: $25–$28, based on experience and qualifications.
