DoorDash’s mission is to grow and empower local economies. DoorDash connects people with the local businesses they care about, helping grow businesses and the communities that support those businesses. The Growth Marketing team is responsible for deploying our customer acquisition budget (CAC) across all digital and performance marketing channels, with a focus on New Customer growth as their north star goal, working in collaboration with the brand and partnerships team, as well as an award-winning agency village to achieve success.

About the Role

~2 min read

We are looking for a performance marketing expert to join our Growth Marketing Pod. This is a high-impact role for someone who can take ownership of online acquisition across Australia and New Zealand, driving growth while maximising marketing efficiency, expanding reach, improving incrementality and optimising conversion across the funnel.

You’ll be the go-to for performance marketing, partnering closely with our digital marketing agency and cross-functional teams to turn business priorities into effective, scalable acquisition strategies. You’ll report to the Growth Marketing Lead and have one direct report.

You’ll manage significant paid media budgets and have the freedom to make calls on how best to spend that budget, with support from leading creative and digital marketing agencies to bring ambitious growth initiatives to life.

As a paid media expert, you’ll lead the planning, forecasting, briefing and day-to-day optimisation of acquisition campaigns across channels including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Search and Display.

You’ll bring together strong planning, analytical rigour and creative problem solving to translate performance data into actionable insights and develop audience-first strategies that drive growth across priority markets.

This is a hybrid role, with three days a week in the office and two days remote.

  • Ultimate control over big budgets and what we spend our time and money on to acquire new customers efficiently across digital marketing channels.
  • A clear line of sight on your impact – you’re in charge when it comes to the CAC, CPA, forecasting and marketing mix of your channels. Style it your way to achieve clear KPIs and use your skills in media planning, buying and analysis to make that happen, with plenty of structured tests and learning along the way.
  • A growth marketing engine, with messaging and creative that cuts through, featuring the likes of Aldi, KFC, Mcdonalds, Chemist Warehouse, Costco and Dan Murphys.
  • Strong collaboration with strategy, ops, partnerships, finance and martech to achieve your goals.
  • A meaningful role in an innovative tech company that is a true challenger brand, invested in making waves in Australia.
  • 4+ years of marketing experience, including campaign strategy, planning, forecasting and execution.
  • Direct, hands-on experience managing media buying and optimisation (Paid search, Paid Social, Display) either at an agency or in-house is an asset.
  • Experience using online advertising solutions such as Google Adwords, Facebook Ad Manager, etc.
  • Confidence providing regular readouts on performance marketing metrics (CPA, CPC, CPM, LTV, & ROAS) to business stakeholders.
  • An interest in developing your people management skills, with a genuine enthusiasm for mentoring and supporting the growth of others.
  • Excellent communication skills and cross-functional collaborative mindset that allows for strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong data-led mindset and understanding of the technical aspects of growth marketing: marketing tech stack and data pipelines, tracking, testing, analytics, etc. Should be extremely comfortable with Excel (functions, pivots, etc.) and be familiar with SQL queries.
  • Local market knowledge of the Australian consumer and regional differences.

At DoorDash, our mission to empower local economies shapes how our team members move quickly, learn, and reiterate in order to make impactful decisions that display empathy for our range of users—from Dashers to merchant partners to consumers. We are a technology and logistics company that started by enabling door-to-door delivery, and we are looking for team members who can help us go from a company that is known as the place you order food to a company that people turn to for any and all goods.

DoorDash is growing rapidly and changing constantly, which gives our team members the opportunity to share their unique perspectives, solve new challenges, and own their careers. We're committed to supporting employees’ happiness, healthiness, and overall well-being by providing comprehensive benefits and perks.

We’re committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive community within our company, industry, and cities. That’s why we hire and cultivate diverse teams of people from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We believe that true innovation happens when everyone has room at the table and the tools, resources, and opportunity to excel.

If you need any accommodations, please inform your recruiting contact upon initial connection.
