Responsibilities

  • →This role will lead end‑to‑end activities in automotive software, validation mainly BMS
  • →Good understanding across Battery Management Systems (BMS), propulsion systems, and advanced driver assistance domain components.
  • →Must have experience automation experience with HIL systems such as dSPACE, HV laboratory testing, embedded software validation, and tools including INCA, CANoe, CANalyzer, ControlDesk, AutomationDesk and Synect.
  • →This role includes analyzing the requirements analysis, creating Design Verification Plans (DVPs), defining HIL validation strategies, and executing high‑voltage laboratory testing.
  • →The engineer should familiar with the plant models using MATLAB/Simulink, develop scripts to automate parameter extraction and testing workflows, analyze CAN and field‑service data for root‑cause identification.
  • →The engineer will ensure compliance with functional safety and automotive standards including ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and SOTIF.
  • →The role involves using automated tools and processes to improve efficiency and repeatability of software builds and calibration reports, validating advanced vehicle features such as Powertrain and electrical battery behaviors, and ensuring traceability of requirements through testing.
  • →The engineer will evaluate new battery chemistries using HPPC/OCV‑SOC methodologies, conduct physics‑based electrical analyses using modeling tools such as Saber, and lead verification of algorithms including SOC, SOH, thermal runaway detection, relaxation delta voltage, and HV network diagnostics.
  • →Hardware knowledge to identify the issue with harness and HIL Environment challenges.

Requirements

  • The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 5+ Years for relevant experience in automotive domain
  • Experience in software systems engineering within the automotive or energy storage domain.
  • Experience includes hands-on work in battery systems, BMS calibration/validation, propulsion or vehicle systems testing, modeling & simulation using MATLAB, Simulink, Saber, and developing ECM or physics-based models for Li-ion cell and pack behavior.
  • Must have experience with HIL systems such as dSPACE, HV laboratory testing, embedded software validation, and tools including INCA, CANoe, CANalyzer, ControlDesk, and PROVEtech.
  • The role requires proven expertise in systems engineering practices including requirements analysis, DVP creation, test case development, DFMEA-based test planning, root-cause analysis, and functional safety or cybersecurity considerations aligned with ISO 26262 and ISO 21434.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex technical programs are essential.
