Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled HIL Box Assembly & Test Technician with experience in electrical and mechanical assembly, wiring, cable harnessing, and basic electrical testing. The role involves assembling HIL systems, installing I/O and relay cards, performing wiring and cable routing, conducting continuity and cold testing, troubleshooting assembly issues, and ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble HIL boxes, enclosures, and subassemblies.
  • Install I/O cards, relay boards, load modules, connectors, and terminal blocks.
  • Perform cable harness assembly, wiring, crimping, connector termination, and soldering.
  • Conduct continuity, resistance, insulation, and cold testing using multimeters and test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot wiring and assembly defects and maintain test documentation.
  • Follow schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and quality procedures.
  • Wire crimping, connector termination, ferrule and lug installation.
  • Soldering, de-soldering, and cable harness assembly.
  • Electrical wiring, cable routing, and mechanical assembly.
  • Continuity testing, cold testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and BOMs.

Requirements

  • Diploma / ITI / Associate Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in electrical panel assembly, automation equipment, control systems, test equipment, or HIL systems.
  • Experience with automotive testing platforms such as dSPACE, NI, ETAS, or similar HIL environments.
  • Familiarity with ESD practices, electrical safety standards, and quality workmanship requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
