Join DoveLewis’ Emergency & Critical Care team as a full-time Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) and work alongside 17+ board-certified specialists and five Veterinary Technician Specialists. As an independent nonprofit with no corporate owners or outside investors, we can focus on our patients, our people, and exceptional medicine.

Note for applicants: This is DoveLewis’ general posting for credentialed technicians. Based on your experience and interests, you may also be considered for openings in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, or other departments.

  • $28–$36/hour for Certified/Licensed/Registered Veterinary Technicians or technicians with credentials transferable to Oregon
  • $38–$44/hour for Veterinary Technician Specialists (VTS)
  • 12% overnight differential for applicable shifts
  • 10% weekend differential for applicable shifts

    Our Outpatient Services and ECC Veterinary Technicians work 10-hour shifts on a rotating 3/4 schedule. That means a consistent schedule you can plan around, and three or four days off in a row every week.

    All schedules include one weekend day each week.

      Responsibilities

      • Use your credentials fully and be valued as a clinical professional.
      • Grow your ECC skills alongside experienced CVTs, VTSs, and Criticalists.
      • Work with advanced critical care, including CRRT, TPE, Hi-Flo, and ventilation.
      • Build your career with VTS pathway support, CE, license reimbursement, and paid dues.
      • Collaborate across 13 services, including ECC, Neurology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Exotics, Hospice, Pain Management, Rehabilitation, and Diagnostic Imaging
      • Work for an independent nonprofit where your voice and expertise matter.

        • High school diploma or equivalent
        • 2+ years working in the veterinary field as a technician or assistant (preferred)
        • 1+ year emergency and/or specialty small animal experience (preferred)
        • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
