About the Role:

The Oxford Analytica Daily Brief provides insightful, impartial analysis and forecasting of geopolitics, political economy and markets for clients in the private and public sectors. As one of the analysts on the Asia desk, you will be responsible for coverage of countries in South Asia, South-east Asia and East Asia, working in tandem with your in-house colleagues and our network of expert contributors.

  • Commission and edit briefs on a range of Asian states, with a bias towards macroeconomic, sectoral and fiscal/monetary topics, publishing 2-3 such briefs per week

  • Write shorter pieces of analysis every day that advance the OADB view captured in the longer briefs

  • Strong knowledge of at least one region within Asia, its politics, economy and international relations, evidenced by a relevant MA or PhD

  • Relevant work experience, with a preference for roles that involve collaborative working, strict daily deadlines and a rigorous editorial process

  • An attitude that regards every day as an opportunity to learn and a readiness to take on guidance from colleagues

  • An ability to recruit and retain external experts, as every longer brief that we publish is a collaboration between an in-house analyst and one expert

  • A delight in writing and editing in English, and an ability to adjust your writing and editing to specific formats and styles.
